Setting up your Staffy Health account is just the first step in starting your journey towards flexible shift opportunities. Once your account is approved, you can start applying for shifts that match your skills and availability. But how do you know if you’ve been selected for a shift, and what do you do next? Confirming your shift is key! Once you apply for a shift, the healthcare facility will review and pick a contractor to fill the shift. Then, you will receive a notification saying you have been accepted for a shift and need to confirm it. This lets Staffy Health know you are still available and will be able to make it to the location for the start time of the shift. Following these simple steps will guide you to accepting and confirming your first shift!

Applying for Shifts

Before diving into how to confirm a shift, let’s briefly cover the application process. When you log into your Staffy Health account, you’ll see a list of available shifts. These shifts will include key details such as the location, the required skills, the shift times, and the pay rate. Here’s how to apply: 1. Browse Available Shifts: Navigate through the available shifts and find one that matches your qualifications and schedule. 2. Review Shift Details: Click on a shift to see more details. Make sure it fits your availability and that you meet the requirements. 3. Apply: If the shift suits you, click the “Apply” button. Your application will be sent to the healthcare facility for review.

Depending on the facility you apply to, some require training shifts. These will prepare you for picking up shifts and meet requirements of the facility. You can get on the list for training shifts by texting our Customer Success Team at 647-370-6499.

How to Know If You Have Been Selected for a Shift

Once you’ve applied for a shift, the healthcare facility will review all applications and select a contractor. If you are chosen, you’ll need to confirm your availability. The confirmation process ensures that you are still able to attend the shift.

1. Ding! It’s Time to Confirm Your Shift

The first indication that you have been selected for a shift is a notification from the Staffy App. This notification will alert you that it’s time to confirm your shift. This notification is crucial as it prompts you to take the next step. Tip: Enable push notifications in your device settings to ensure you never miss a shift confirmation alert.

2. Open Up the Staffy Health App

Once you receive the notification, open the Staffy Health App on your device. The main page of the app will guide you through the confirmation process.

3. Click the Button at the Top of Your Screen

At the very top of the screen, there will be a prominent button labeled “Confirm Your Shift”. Clicking this button will take you to a detailed page about the shift.

4. Review the Shift Details

This is a critical step. On the confirmation page, you will find all the details about the shift, including: Shift Time and Duration: Make sure you can commit to the entire duration of the shift. Location: Check the address of the healthcare facility. Ensure you know how to get there and how long it will take. Role Requirements: Confirm that you have the necessary skills and qualifications for the shift. Pay Rate: Review the compensation details to ensure it meets your expectations. Additional Instructions: Sometimes there might be special instructions or requirements, such as dress code or specific equipment to bring.

5. Ask Yourself Key Questions

Availability: Am I free at this time? Do I have any other commitments that might conflict with this shift? Transportation: Do I have a reliable way to get to the healthcare facility? Consider traffic, public transportation schedules, and parking availability. Preparedness: Do I have everything I need for the shift? This might include specific attire, identification, or equipment.

6. Click “Confirm Shift”

After reviewing all the details and ensuring you can commit to the shift, click the “Confirm” button at the bottom of the screen. Final Check: This is your last chance to ensure all information is correct and that you can meet the requirements.

Now that you know how to confirm shifts, get out there and apply! Have any questions relating to your shift? Not to worry, our Customer Success Team will be with you every step of the way.
